Making Faces 7

Good morning to you too! But why does he look so surprised? Maybe it's your horrendous bed hair?

Making Faces 6

Mr Cookie looks scared and sad that you're going to eat him.

Making Faces 5

AWWW serious bag isn't amused at all. Even his colour is unamused at you.

Making Faces 4

Oh that pun! It's so cute though.

Making Faces 3

It's funny how houses make such surprised faces! Maybe they reflect on their tenants or...are they surprised that someone's living inside of them?

Making Faces 2

Start your day happy with Mr Coffee! He likes being drunk in the morning and he wants you to drink him!

Making Faces!

Here is a website with so many cute faces "made" by random things in everyday life!
Be sure to check it out! It gave me so much "d'awwww" moments and laughs.

Popular Analogy

People always make a common analogy in their everyday life, where they like to associate cars to human faces, as they look like faces. I'm sure even you, my reader, also does this analogy without realizing it is an analogy in itself.

Analogy and Spiderman

Poor Spiderman, he got arrested for seeing an analogy the wrong way!

Dilbert: Analogy

http://www.doctordisruption.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/dilbert_analogy.gif

I love reading Dilbert comics, Scott Adams makes them in a way that they're clever and yet silly at the same time.

Analogy Tests

One of my favourite kind of tests to take are analogical tests where you answer a multiple choice question, choosing the answer the one where you think is right. It totally beats taking tests for math and what not!

Analogical Thinking 2

One example of an analogy is: "He has a velvet voice". This means his voice doesn't literally feel like the material itself but instead it is smooth and soft, like velvet, and like the album cover, "unforgettable".

Analogical Thinking

Analogical thinking is, in my own terms, when you see two different things as similar. For example, pvc pipes are hollow, and they remind me of flutes, due to them both being hollow.

Chromesthesia

Chromesthesia is the synesthesia condition where people see sounds as colours. The sounds usually invoke an experience of colours as seen in the picture.

Mirror Touch Synesthesia

http://neuroamer.files.wordpress.com/2012/05/testing-mirror-touch-synesthetes-with-cheek-test2.jpg

Mirror Touch Synesthesia is a rare type of synesthesia, where people can feel the feeling of being touched when they see another person being touched. This means they can feel pain when they see another person getting hurt and the such.

Synethesia: Tastes like purple

http://lightsallaround.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/tastes-like-purple.jpg

This is an example of a type of synesthesia, called Lexical-Gustatory Synesthesia. People with this condition associate tastes to words, however they can only have the sensation of tastes that they have tasted before. One such example is if someone has not tasted turkey before, they cannot associate a word with the taste of turkey.

Below is a cute comic about a (probably synesthetic character) called Lulu from a popular online game called League of Legends.

Synesthesia?

http://courses.evanbradley.net/wiki/lib/exe/fetch.php?media=synaesthesia-emergency.gif
Synesthesia sometimes creates troubles for those who have emergencies as they perceive senses such as pain as colours or sounds. They would have difficulties explaining their condition to others.

Synesthesia: Sci Show

I love watching the SciShow by one of the vlogbrothers, Hank Green. Here is one he did covering the topic of Synethesia. I always watch his videos, one every night, especially when there's a new video. You can never run out of videos, and his is really entertaining and knowledgeable.

Synesthesia: What is it?

Here is a short video on how synesthesia probably works for some people.

Synesthesia is a condition where people associate other senses to sense other senses, such as seeing tastes and tasting colors. People who have this condition perceive different senses differently. One such example is hearing colors.

Synesthesia: Andrew McMahon

Here is a music video of one of my favourite singers, Andrew McMahon, whose song imbues the properties of synesthesia into his song. Personally, I feel he is a really good but underrated singer who deserves more recognition.

Forced Connections: Lego Bin

http://i-cdn.apartmenttherapy.com/uimages/re-nest/111811-lego1.jpg

Here is a recycling bin modeled after the world-famous Lego blocks. It's a good way to save space in a small house such as in Singapore, and a good way to differentiate between which material in where for recycling. I would buy this for my house when I own my own, as it looks really nice and its useful.

Food Connections

Here is a good way to present your food and also to save space on your plates.
This is a combination of a Rubik's cube and fruits. Now just don't try to solve the puzzle by using your hands or you'll end up with a messy mash of fruits and juice!

Forced Connections: Horse...Bike?

Now, this is an interesting combination for those who wish to ride a horse but can't. Well, now you can ride a "horse" in the form of a bike! This sounds like false advertising...but it looks really nice!

Forced Connections: Stairs

This is another interesting way to save space in your house. By combining the stairs and a storage, it creates an interesting aesthetic element in the house and also works as a good way to save space.

Forced Connections: Bed + Table

Here is something that I feel will be useful to us students, a table and a bed. It can help us to save space in our already cramped apartments or dormitories.

Don't you think this is also a good idea to stop you from doing work on your bed?

Forced Connections

http://p-ec1.pixstatic.com/51ef0227fb04d628960013a6._w.540_s.fit_.jpg
Here is a combination that everyone is familiar with, a bed and a chair with storage.

Can you see what I see?

Now this is an interesting equation, can you see the words and numbers?

I personally like these kind of brain and eye puzzles, as it's really interesting and creative on how they can make such a thing work.

A cute comic to demonstrate Lateral Thinking

Here is a cute and short comic on what Lateral Thinking is like. Since the guy in the basement is a drawing, he is 2D thus is "flat".

Lateral Thinking Puzzle

Another interesting puzzle that requires Lateral Thinking~ Can you figure out what the answers are?

Lateral Thinking

How would you solve this question? Apply lateral thinking. Think out of the box.
Try to solve it without looking at the answer

Lateral Thinking is solving problems through an indirect and creative approach, where you use reasoning that is not obvious or involves traditional step-by-step ideas. Basically, think out of the box to get to your goal.

Mindmap?

A mindmap is basically you organizing things so that you can easily assess the points without getting confused. It also helps sort out your mind and makes it easier to view your thoughts.
