Synethesia: Tastes like purple

This is an example of a type of synesthesia, called Lexical-Gustatory Synesthesia. People with this condition associate tastes to words, however they can only have the sensation of tastes that they have tasted before. One such example is if someone has not tasted turkey before, they cannot associate a word with the taste of turkey.
